ISSUE OF SHARES





JPMorgan Indian Investment Trust plc announces that today, Thursday 21st
December 2006, it issued 100,000 ordinary shares to a market participant at
302.25 pence per share representing 0.1% of the ordinary shares in issue.



The number of shares issued under the current authority totals 4,771,270.  A
further 5,860,670 shares are available for issue under the authority granted at
the AGM held on 24th January 2006.



The shares in issue following this notification are 104,806,662.
