                              ISSUE OF SHARES


JPMorgan Fleming Indian Investment Trust plc announces that yesterday, Wednesday
22nd June 2005, it issued 100,000 ordinary shares to a market participant at
172.75 pence per share representing 0.11% of the ordinary shares in issue.



The number of shares issued under the current authority totals 1,275,000.  A
further 7,746,136 shares are available for issue under the authority granted at
the EGM held on 22nd March 2005.



The remaining shares in issue following this notification are 91,926,392.
