JPMorgan Fleming Indian Investment Trust plc announces that yesterday, Wednesday
27th July 2005, it issued 100,000 ordinary shares to a market participant at
198.5 pence per share representing 0.11% of the ordinary shares in issue.


The number of shares issued under the current authority totals 3,124,000.  A
further 5,897,136 shares are available for issue under the authority granted at
the EGM held on 22nd March 2005.


The shares in issue following this notification are 93,775,392.
