THE FLEMING INDIAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC
REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
The Fleming Indian Investment Trust plc announces that
today in the market it purchased for cancellation 750,000
ordinary shares at 88.0p per share representing 0.92% of
the ordinary shares in issue.
The number of shares repurchased to date now totals
11,375,000.
The current repurchase authority for 12,292,008 was
approved by shareholders on 26th January 2000. To date
1,150,000 shares have been repurchased under this new
authority which represents 1.40% of the ordinary shares
in issue at the date shareholder approval was granted.
The remaining shares in issue following this announcement
is 80,851,392
