JPMORGAN INDIAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

             SUBSCRIPTION SHARE REMINDER NOTICE

The Board would like to remind Subscription Shareholders that their right to acquire new Ordinary Shares in the Company at 227 pence per Subscription Share will expire on 3 January 2010 when the conversion price of the Subscription Shares will increase to 247 pence. The conversion price will increase again to 291 pence per share on 3 January 2012. As at the close of business on 30 November 2009, the Company's mid market Ordinary Share price was 369.20 pence and the estimated cum income fully diluted net asset value was 383.56 pence per share.

Shareholders who hold their Subscription Shares in certificated form and wish to convert them before the increase in exercise price must complete and sign the notice of exercise of subscription rights on the reverse of their Subscription Share certificate, and return it to Equiniti Limited, Repayments Team, Aspect House, Spencer Road, Lancing, West Sussex, BN99 6DA together with their cheque made payable to 'Equiniti Limited', by 24 December 2009. Instructions received after this date will be subject to the increased conversion price of 247 pence per share.

For Shareholders who hold their Subscription Shares in uncertificated form (i.e. in CREST), the new CREST Participant and Member Account IDs are:

The USE (Unmatched Stock Event) instruction should be input by 11:00am and received by 1:00pm on 31 December 2009 in order to benefit from the conversion price of 227 pence per share. Instructions received after this date will be subject to the increased conversion price of 247 pence per share. The scheduled CREST credit date for any subscription requests received in December will be 4 January 2010.
