VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL
JPMORGAN INDIAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC
('The Company')
In conformity with the Transparency Directive the Company would like to notify the market of the following:
As at 29th January 2010 the Company's share capital consists of 114,994,448 Ordinary 25 pence shares, carrying one vote each and 11,019,095 Subscription shares of 1 pence each with no voting rights (although these shares are considered "qualifying financial instruments" in accordance with the revised DTR 5). The Company holds 1,979,788 Ordinary shares in Treasury. Therefore as at 29th January 2010, the total number of voting rights for Ordinary shareholders in the Company is 113,014,660.
For shareholders who hold both Ordinary and Subscription shares, the total number of voting rights in the Company (including the qualifying financial instruments) is 124,033,755.
The above figures (113,014,660 for Ordinary shareholders and 124,033,755 for Ordinary and Subscription shareholders) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to, their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
