Further to the announcement made on 20th March 2003 regarding the appointment of
Mr John Gibbon as a Director of JPMorgan Fleming Japanese Smaller Companies
Investment Trust plc.

In accordance with paragraph 16.4 of the FSA Listing Rules, Mr Gibbon is
currently a Director of Wigmore Property Investment Trust plc.

There are no further details requiring disclosure under  paragraph 16.4 of the
FSA Listing Rules.
