REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES INTO TREASURY

On Friday 27^th July 2012, JPMorgan Japan Smaller Companies Trust plc purchased into Treasury 25,500 ordinary shares at 135.51 pence per share.

Following the transaction the remaining shares in issue total 39,489,818 including 125,500 shares held in treasury.
