REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES INTO TREASURY

On Friday 8^th June 2012, JPMorgan Japan Smaller Companies Trust plc purchased into Treasury 50,000 ordinary shares at 134.00 pence per share.

Following the transaction the remaining shares in issue total 39,489,818 including 100,000 shares held in treasury.
