LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT

JPMORGAN MID CAP INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

The Board of JPMorgan Mid Cap Investment Trust plc ("the Company") announces that Jane Lennard has stood down as the joint fund manager, to pursue interests outside investment management.  The Board is grateful for her valuable contribution over the past three years.

Georgina Brittain has assumed responsibility for the management of the portfolio with immediate effect.  Georgina, a Managing Director on JPMorgan Asset Management's UK Mid and Small Cap Team, is a highly experienced fund manager who has a strong stock picking track record in the Smaller Companies universe.  In addition she has worked closely with her fellow Mid and Small Cap managers for many years, which should allow her proven stock picking skills to translate seamlessly into the Mid Cap universe. She will continue with her other fund management responsibilities.

William Meadon continues as joint fund manager of the Company with particular responsibility for gearing.
