                 JPMORGAN FLEMING MID CAP INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

                 REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION


JPMorgan Fleming Mid Cap Investment Trust plc announces that today, Monday 10th
October 2005 in the market it purchased for cancellation 25,000 ordinary shares
at 425 pence per share representing 0.07% of the ordinary shares in issue.

The current repurchase authority for 5,450,663 shares was approved by
shareholders on 3rd November 2004.  To date 1,911,000 shares have been
repurchased under this authority.

The remaining shares in issue following this repurchase totals 34,451,000.
