Appointment of New Director
The Board of JPMorgan Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Frances Davies as an independent non-executive Director of the Company, with effect from 1st March 2013.
Since 2007, Frances has been a partner of Opus Corporate Finance, a corporate finance advisory business providing independent strategic advice to businesses across Europe. Prior to this, she held a number of senior business management positions in investment companies, notably at Morgan Grenfell Asset Management where she became Head of Retail as well as Head of Global Marketing Strategy, and Gartmore Investment Limited where she joined as Head of Institutional Business and subsequently ran their investment trust business. Frances was formerly a non-executive Director of City and Hackney Primary Care Trust where she also chaired the Audit Committee and was a non-executive Director of Challenged Trust Board. Frances holds a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and an M.Phil in Management Studies from Oxford University.
Frances does not currently hold any shares in the Company.
