VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL

JPMORGAN SMALLER COMPANIES INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

('The Company')

In conformity with the Transparency Directive, the Company would like to notify the market of the following:

As at 30 April 2015, JPMorgan Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc's issued share capital consists of 17,388,100 Ordinary 25 pence shares with voting rights and 3,566,005 Subscription Shares of 0.1 pence each with no voting rights.  JPMorgan Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc does not hold any shares in Treasury.

Therefore, as at 30 April 2015, the total number of voting rights in JPMorgan Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc is 17,388,100.

The above figure (17,388,100) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, JPM Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
