Notice of General Meeting
The Board of JPMorgan US Discovery Investment Trust plc (the 'Company') today
gave notice to shareholders, convening a General Meeting of the Company to be
held at 10.00 a.m. on 9 November 2007 at Finsbury Dials, 20 Finsbury Street,
London EC2Y 9AQ.
The Board intends to seek shareholder approval to renew its authority to
repurchase up to 14.99 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital as at the
date of the passing of the Resolution, which is being put to Shareholders as an
special resolution.
The Board of the Company firmly believes that it is in the best interests of
shareholders as a whole to have the ability to repurchase Shares in order to
pursue its policy of maximising share price performance and limiting discount
volatility. The Board will carry out share repurchases on an ongoing basis with
the aim of establishing a long-term level of discount that is on average less
than 9%.
The Board unanimously recommends shareholders to vote in favour of the
Resolution to be proposed at the General Meeting and intends to do so in respect
of their own beneficial holdings amounting to in aggregate to 12,695 Shares,
representing 0.1 per cent. of the Shares in issue.
Terms used in this announcement shall, unless the context otherwise requires,
bear the meaning given to them in the circular to the Company's shareholders
dated 12 October 2007 (the 'Circular').
Copies of the Circular have been submitted to the Financial Services Authority
and will shortly be available for inspection at the UK Listing Authority's
