VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL

JPMORGAN US SMALLER COMPANIES INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

In conformity with the Transparency Directive we would like to notify the market of the following:

As at 29 August 2014, JPMorgan US Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc's capital consists of 56,970,928 Ordinary 25 pence shares.  The Company holds 830,000 Ordinary shares in Treasury.

Therefore as at 29 August 2014, the total number of voting rights for Ordinary shareholders in JPMorgan US Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc 56,140,928.

The above figure (56,140,928) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to, their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
