                         CANCELLATION OF OWN SECURITIES


JPMorgan US Discovery Investment Trust plc announces that on 24th April 2008 it
cancelled 322,000 shares previously bought in at an average price of 865.8 pence
per share and held in treasury.

Following this cancellation the Company now holds a total of 365,000 shares in
treasury.

The total number of shares in issue is now 6,970,453 of which the number of
shares held in treasury represent 5.2%.
