Cancellation OF OWN SECURITIES

JPMorgan US Discovery Investment Trust plc announces that on 30th January 2009 it cancelled 96,000 shares previously bought in at an average price of 698.33 pence per share and held in Treasury.

Following this cancellation, the Company now holds a total of 54,000 shares in Treasury.

The total number of shares in issue is now 5,935,367 of which the number of shares held in Treasury represents 0.9%.
