Jupiter Fund Management plc announces Executive Director change
Jupiter Fund Management plc ("Jupiter", the "Company") announces that Philip Johnson is to step down from his role as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO").
An important priority for the Board is the continued delivery of Jupiter's organic growth strategy and how that is best achieved. The strengthening and deepening of the senior management team is key to that success and the Board has today made a number of promotions to the Executive Committee. These include those currently responsible for Fund Operations, HR and Investment Operations and follows the appointment of a new Global Head of Distribution and a new CIO earlier this year. A consequence of these changes has been the narrowing of the CFO's role and, as a result, the Board has agreed with Philip that he will step down. Philip has agreed to stay on until 30 May 2016 while the Board seeks to identify a new CFO.
The Board would like to take this opportunity to thank Philip for his significant contribution to the business over the past six years, recognising the key role he has played in Jupiter's IPO and subsequent growth and development.
Maarten Slendebroek, CEO of Jupiter, commented "Jupiter is a growing business and as such, now needs the key functions of Fund Operations, HR and Investment Operations represented directly on the Executive Committee. This structure will ensure the business continues to be best positioned for its future development.
"The Board and I are hugely grateful to Philip for his contribution since joining Jupiter in 2009. He has played an instrumental role before, during and after our IPO in supporting Jupiter's success. We are grateful that he has agreed to remain with us until May to ensure a smooth transition and we wish him the very best for the future."
Philip Johnson said "Jupiter is a great company and it has been my privilege to be part of its transition from a private firm to the successful listed company that it is today. I am looking forward to my next challenge, but can look back with pride on what has been achieved at Jupiter. The business is in an excellent position and I wish it every success going forward".
