                               Board Appointment

The Board of K3 is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Adam Milne as a
Chairman. Mr Milne's appointment takes immediate effect and he replaces George
Matthews who is stepping down from the Board today.

Tom Milne, aged 59 years, is very well known within the retail software industry
and he has substantial experience in developing successful software companies in
this sector. Tom was the founder director of Riva Group plc, one of the first
true Microsoft Windows retail software houses in the UK. He floated the company
on the USM in 1988, and continued growing the business until his retirement in
1993. He then went on to found Metabet Ltd, which developed electronic point of
sale terminals for betting shops. This was adopted by several major bookmakers,
including Coral group, and the business was subsequently sold to Alphameric plc.
In recent years, Tom has maintained an active interest in the retail software
sector. His current directorships are Retroform Limited and Team Knowledge
Limited.

Tom has an interest in 100,000 K3 shares, representing 0.6% of the current
issued share capital of the Company.

Chief executive, Andy Makeham, commented,

'I am delighted that Tom Milne is joining K3 as Chairman. His depth of
experience and breadth of knowledge, especially of the retail software industry,
will be of enormous benefit to the company as we pursue our growth strategy.

I would also like to thank George Matthews who is stepping down as Chairman
today. His contribution to the company over the last four years has been
significant.'
