K3 BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY GROUP PLC
('K3')
Announces
Further Contract Wins in
Manufacturing Software Division worth £0.5 million
K3, the IT solutions provider for mid-tier retailers and manufacturers, is
pleased to announce that its Manufacturing Software Division has recently
secured further new contracts worth approximately £0.5 million in total.
The new business contracts include significant orders from Door Panels PLC,
Europe's largest manufacturer of door infill panels for the double glazing
industry, and Limpet Tapes Limited who manufacture and distribute a wide range
of tapes for many market sectors.
K3 will be implementing the SYSPRO range of Microsoft-based Enterprise Resource
Planning ('ERP') software, which is specifically tailored for the manufacturing
sector. The software provides mid-range manufacturers with a complete enterprise
resource planning solution, enabling them to manage and control the
manufacturing process as well as the financial and distributions functions.
Andy Makeham, K3's Chief Executive, commented,
'We are delighted to announce these further new wins for our Manufacturing
Software Division. Some of these orders are the result of recent initiatives to
break into new sectors and the fact that we are now winning business in new
markets says a great deal about the strength of our offering, boding well for
the future. These new orders take the total value of new contracts secured
during the second half by the Manufacturing Software Division alone to £1.85m.
With a strong pipeline in both our Manufacturing and Retail Divisions, prospects
for the year end and beyond remain encouraging.'
