Trading Update
Kainos Group plc (KNOS), a leading IT provider, operating in two specialist divisions, Digital Services and its Workday Practice, today issues a trading update for the year ended 31 March 2021.
The momentum outlined in the trading statement dated 22 January 2021 has been maintained in this most recent period and we expect our results for the year ended 31 March 2021 to be at the upper end of current market consensus forecasts.
In both of our divisions, demand from existing and new customers has continued to be robust, despite the uncertainty generated by Covid-19. We are grateful for the continued trust that our customers place in Kainos as we help in the delivery of their key digital transformation projects.
Along with the support of our customers, we recognise that our business performance has been driven by the exceptional commitment of our people who have demonstrated phenomenal energy, flexibility and resilience throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Following strong recruitment, the number of employees and contractors worldwide has increased by 309, to reach a total of 2,024 people at the end of March 2021.
Looking ahead, our robust pipeline, strong balance sheet and significant contracted backlog underpins our confidence in the outlook. And whilst we are mindful of the ongoing challenges caused by Covid-19, we believe that we are well-positioned for further growth and remain confident in our strategy.
The announcement of our results for the full year ended 31 March 2021 will be made on 24 May 2021.
