Kennedy Ventures plc
Directorate change
Kennedy Ventures plc ("Kennedy Ventures" or "the Company"), the AIM quoted investment company, who through its stake in African Tantalum (Pty) Limited ("Aftan") has an interest in the Tantalite Valley Mine in Namibia, announces that Caroline McLeod will today be stepping down as a Director of the Company.
Caroline played an important role in helping the Company establish its investment in Namibia over the last two years. However, with the arrival of Larry Johnson as Chief Executive and his increasing presence providing oversight and guidance to Aftan in Windhoek, Namibia, Caroline will depart the Company to pursue other business interests.
Caroline is a Namibian national and a qualified lawyer, specialising in commercial, labour and mining law. Caroline joined Kennedy Ventures as a Non-Executive Director in 2015.
Giles Clarke, Chairman of Kennedy Ventures, commented:
"On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Caroline for her outstanding contribution and commitment to Kennedy Ventures over her years of service. Caroline has played an integral part in navigating our entrance into Namibia and establishing our relationship with Aftan. We wish Caroline all the best in her future career."
