Lithium and Feldspar Economic Suitability Evaluation
Kazera Global plc, the AIM quoted investment company, is pleased to report that, the Geological Survey of Namibia (GSN) in collaboration with Bundesanstalt für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe (BGR) (Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources) of Germany has released two reports on the economic suitability of Lithium and Feldspar in Namibia in which Tantalite Valley Mine pegmamties featured as samples for the study.
These reports are available on the Ministry of Mines and Energy website ( http://www.mme.gov.na/publications/?designation=gsn ) under Economic Geology.
The study demonstrated:
· Lithium samples taken from the Mine are of a chemical composition which deems them "chemical grade" for the Battery Industry and "technical grade" for the Glass Industry
· Feldspar samples taken from the Mine indicate high quality feldspar with a chemical composition suitable for Glaze, pottery and colour glass exist at the Mine.
The BGR-GSN-Project investigated various pegmatites in central and southern Namibia regarding their mineral potential during several field campaigns. Representative F eldspar and Lithium grab samples were taken from these pegmatite occurrences for subsequent chemical analysis and interpretation regarding their suitability for economic application. Tantalite Valley Mine pegmatites were among those sampled for this study.
Several samples were collected within the Mining Licence (ML77) mainly from Purple Haze and White City which were were analysed at BGR labs in Hanover, Germany through qualitative XRD, XRF and ICP-MS. The results were analysed based on their applicability in the various l lithium and feldspar consuming industries for which information is available.
As part the study demonstrates, there is considerable economic potential for feldspars and lithium at the Mine as a constituent in the production of batteries, ceramics, and glass, among others.
The results for lithium samples shows a chemical composition that meets the chemical requirements for "chemical grade" (Battery Industry) and "technical grade" (Glass Industry) which is lithium content > 1% Li2O, Fe2O3 content < 0.15% and Fluorine content < 0.1%.
The results for Feldspar from White City indicate high-quality feldspar with chemical composition suitable for Glaze (moderate), pottery (good) and coloured glass (moderate)
With the Mine planning to put in an extension for the Flotation Circuit, this will put African Tantalum (Pty) Ltd at a forefront for lithium and feldspar mining as currently there is no lithium and feldspar industry established in Namibia.
Larry Johnson, Kazera Joint Chief Executive Officer, commented:
"We are extremely appreciative and excited to have received support from both the Namibia Minister of Mines and BGR. Both groups made multiple site visits to our Tantalite Valley Mine accompanied by very senior geologists from both groups.
"TVM continues to demonstrate multiple value opportunities for the Company and, with mining due to restart again shortly, we look forward to realizing potential this in the very near future.
These reports show the potential of further mineralization at TVM. Once we have added the flotation extension to the current Tantalum Processing Plant it will allow us to not just run the Lithium but the Feldspar as well.
We now will go back to take a specific look at our Phase l and ll Drill Core analysis to add the resource concerning this Feldspar and will add this resource to future Phase Programs."
