KazakhGold Commissions New Heap Leaching Facility at its Kaskabulak Mine in
Eastern Kazakhstan Ahead of Schedule
KazakhGold Group Limited (London: KZG), a leading Kazakh gold producer, is
pleased to announce that it has opened a new heap-leaching facility for the
processing of open-pit ore at its Kaskabulak mine in Eastern Kazakhstan.
The Kaskabulak property is one of the five new licences that were awarded to the
company in December 2005. The commencement of open-pit mining and heap-leaching
at the site comes ahead of the company's planned production schedule and further
demonstrates the company's firm commitment to ramp-up its annual gold
production.
The Kaskabulak heap-leaching facility became operational at the end of June and
is expected to make a positive contribution to gold production in the second
half of 2006.
