Notice Regarding Publication of Interim Financial Statements

[LONDON, ENGLAND] - 2 October 2009 - KazakhGold Group Limited ('KazakhGold' or the 'Company') announces that the publication of its semi-annual financial statements for the period ended 30 June 2009 (the 'Interim Financial Statements') will be delayed. The delay in publication of the Interim Financial Statements is in order to permit the new management of the Company (following completion of the Partial Offer by Jenington International Inc., an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of OJSC Polyus Gold, in August 2009) to complete its review of the Company's financial results. The Company anticipates that it will be in a position to publish its Interim Financial Statements following completion of its review.
