               KELLER RAISES $100M THROUGH U.S. PRIVATE PLACEMENT

Keller Group plc ('Keller' or the 'Group'), the international specialist ground
engineering group, announces that it has raised $100m through a private
placement with US institutions. The issue of $30m 5.05% notes due 2011 and $70m
5.48% notes due 2014 was completed yesterday. The proceeds will be used to
refinance existing debt.

The placement is part of a strategy to refinance the Group's existing debt on
improved terms and to optimise the funding structure to support the Group's
continuing development.
