Kenwood Appliances plc ('the Company')

In accordance with Section 329 of the Companies Act 1985 and paragraph 16.13 of
The Listing Rules, the Company announces that it was notified on 23 February
2001 that Mr J Treger, a director of the Company, was no longer interested in
any shares in the Company, as a result of the sale of 7,925,000 ordinary shares
of 10 pence each in the Company on 21 February 2001 at the price of 100 pence
each, in respect of which Mr Treger was treated as interested as the possible
beneficiary of a discretionary trust which was interested in the shares so
disposed.
