               Kenmare Resources plc ('Kenmare' or 'the Company')

             Kenmare announces extension to Definition Phase of the

                         Moma Titanium Minerals Project



Kenmare Resources plc announced today that it has been informed by Fluor Daniel
S.A. (Pty) Ltd ('Fluor') (the engineering contractor performing the Definition
Phase engineering on the Moma Titanium Project) that they will require a time
extension of approximately two months to complete this phase of the contract.
This extension is necessary because of delays in design testwork covering
certain areas of the plant and due to sub-contractor issues.
