Kerry Group announces that the Offer Document in relation to the recommended
Offer by Davy Corporate Finance Limited on behalf of Kerry Group for Golden
Vale, announced on 25 June, 2001, is being posted to Golden Vale Shareholders
today. The Board of Golden Vale has unanimously recommended Golden Vale
Shareholders to accept the Offer. Forms of Acceptance should be completed and
returned as soon as possible, but in any event so to arrive no later than 3.00
p.m. on 2 August, 2001
