Application for Share Listing

Kier Group plc announces that application is being made to the UK Listing
Authority and the London Stock Exchange for the admission to listing of 29,858
ordinary shares of 1p, to trade on the London Stock Exchange, pursuant to the
offer of the Scrip Dividend Alternative. The shares will rank pari passu with
the existing issued shares of the Company and will commence trading on 19 May
2005.
