Kier Group plc announces that further to its announcement on 11 June 2007, as
part of an ongoing divorce settlement, Mr John Dodds today (11 December 2007)
ceased to have an interest in 4,985 Kier Group plc shares.

Mr Dodds' total beneficial interest in Kier Group plc is now 319,592 shares,
representing 0.867% of the Company's issued share capital of 36,878,822 ordinary
shares.

The above figure may be used by shareholders to determine if they are required
to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the share capital
of the Company under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
