KIER GROUP PLC SHARESAVE SCHEME

The market was informed on 31 May 2007 that certain members of the main board and PDMRs had been granted 302 options each over shares in Kier Group plc, namely Mr John Dodds, Mr Ian Michael Lawson, Miss Deena Elizabeth Mattar, Mr Michael Paul Sheffield and Mr Paul John Staniland.

Today (25 March 2009) the Company has been advised by John Dodds, Ian Lawson and Deena Mattar that the 302 Options previously granted to them have been allowed to lapse. The market was informed on 6 May 2008 that the options granted to Messrs Staniland and Sheffield had lapsed.

Additionally, on 6 May 2008 the market was advised that options over 137 shares had been granted to Mr Ian Michael Lawson, and options over 274 shares each had been granted to Messrs Sheffield and Staniland.

Today (25 March 2009) the Company has been advised by Ian Lawson, Paul Staniland and Paul Sheffield that the Options previously granted to them have been allowed to lapse.  

Kier Group plc further announces that the 2009 Option Invitation has been distributed to all eligible staff, including the directors/PDMRs mentioned above and relevant announcements regarding grants of Options will be made in due course.
