KIER GROUP PLC  2006 SHARESAVE SCHEME

Kier Group plc (the "Company") was advised today (4 May 2011) that under the terms of the Kier Group plc 2006 Sharesave Scheme, the following director and person discharging managerial responsibility were granted an option on 28 April 2011 to buy ordinary shares in the Company at a price of £11.50 per share. The savings period is three years and the options will be exercisable within a period of six months from 1 July 2014.
