Kier Group plc announces that Mr C R W Busby sold 50,000 shares on 15 October
2003 at a price of 648p per share to meet a personal financial commitment
involving acquisition of a property and on the same day Mr R W Gregory sold
3,700 shares vested to him on 1 October 2003 in satisfaction of a conditional
award made under the Kier Group 1999 Long-Term Incentive Plan:



Following these transactions their beneficial holdings were:

Mr C R W Busby - 557,121 shares (1.6% of the issued share capital)

Mr R W Gregory - 16,561 shares (0.05% of the issued share capital)
