DIRECTORATE CHANGE
The Board of Kier Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael
O'Farrell as an executive director of the Company with effect from 1 October
2006.
Mick, aged 45, joined the Group in May 2003 as managing director of Allison
Homes and became managing director of Kier Residential in August 2005. Mick has
many years of experience in housebuilding having held senior positions in other
major housing businesses.
Peter Warry, Chairman, said:
"I am very much looking forward to welcoming Mick to the Board, our housing
activities contribute significantly to the results and strength of the Group and
Mick's position on the Board is well deserved."
No information in relation to Mr. O'Farrell is required to be disclosed pursuant
to Listing Rule 9.6.13R.
As at 14 September 2006, Mr. O'Farrell had no beneficial interest in the share
capital of the Company.
