Kier Group plc

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.14, Kier Group plc announces that its Non-executive Chairman, Mr Philip White, has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman Designate of Unite Group plc with immediate effect. 

It is expected Mr White will become Chairman of Unite Group plc in March 2009.

There are no other changes required to be disclosed pursuant to the Listing Rules.
