Kier Group plc announces that the interim dividend in respect of the year ending 30 June 2011 of 20.0 pence (net) per share declared in its results announcement this morning will be paid on 6 May 2011 to ordinary shareholders on the register of members at 4 March 2011. 

The ex-dividend date will be 2 March 2011 and a scrip dividend alternative will be offered. The last day for electing to participate in the scrip dividend will be 15 April 2011.

For the first time, CREST participants will only be able to elect for the scrip dividend alternative via the CREST mechanism.
