Kier secures over £145m of new international contracts

Kier Group plc ("Kier"), the leading property, residential, construction and services group, today announces it has been awarded over £145m of new construction contract awards in the Middle East since the start of the calendar year.

In Dubai, Kier has been named preferred bidder for a £100m mixed-use development and two infrastructure contracts totalling £15m on a major new leisure park project for the region.  In Saudi Arabia, a £30m infrastructure project has been secured with a leading Saudi state-owned company in the eastern region. Work on these projects is expected to commence this month.

Commenting on today's announcement Haydn Mursell said: "These international awards are testimony to the strong relationships that we continue to develop with customers in the Middle East and the breadth of construction capability that we can offer customers in this market. These awards further emphasise our continuing strong order book."
