Kier announced preferred bidder for £225m+ services contracts
Kier Services has been announced preferred bidder on three contracts in the services sector with a total value of circa £225m.
It is one of four preferred bidders selected to provide repairs and maintenance services for housing group Circle, in what is estimated to be one of the biggest contracts in the sector.
With a value to Kier of approximately £200m, the company has been selected to carry out planned and cyclical works in the eastern, central and West Midlands regions.
Circle plans to enter into an initial term of five years with its final selected bidders, subject to contract, with an option to extend for a further five years.
Kier Services has also been appointed preferred bidder for two facilities management (FM) contracts.
It has won five-year contracts to provide hard FM services for Hampshire County Council and Surrey County Council with a combined value of over £5.5m per annum. Each has the option to extend for a further two years.
Kier Group chief executive, Paul Sheffield, commented: "We are delighted to have been selected for these three important contracts, which will provide Kier with further opportunities to work with quality customers in the growing services sector."
