Kier Group PLC 20 December 2007 KIER £100M SCHOOL'S SUCCESS Kier, bidding as part of the Land Securities Trillium consortium, has been appointed preferred bidder by Kent County Council to deliver over £100m worth of schools in the first wave within the first LEP of Kent's Building Schools for the Future Programme. In future waves of the first LEP, Kier have the opportunity to deliver a further £150m worth of schools. BSF is a national initiative that aims to deliver 21st century schools for every secondary school pupil in England. As such, it represents the single largest investment for improving school buildings in over 50 years. Kent's BSF Programme, established in 2006, aims to rebuild or renew its secondary schools over a period of 10 - 15 years. Far from being just another school building programme, BSF provides Kent with the opportunity to combine significant capital investment in state-of-the-art buildings and ICT facilities with a bold educational vision to transform teaching and learning and locate schools at the heart of their community.
