Kier selected for £150m+ Featherstone prison contract for the Ministry of Justice
Kier Build, the major projects arm of Kier Group plc, has been selected for a £150m-plus contract by the Ministry of Justice to build a new Category 'B' prison facility at Featherstone, north of Wolverhampton. The project involves the building of three 480-place house blocks and additional association facilities. It is planned for work to begin on site in autumn this year and completion is due in the summer of 2012.
