Kingfisher acquires remaining 40 per cent stake in ProMarkt
Kingfisher plc is pleased to announce that on 19 June 2000 it acquired the
remaining 40% stake in its Germany electrical subsidiary, ProMarkt Holding
GmbH & Co. KG, that was previously owned by Michael and Matthias Wegert. The
net assets of ProMarkt at 31 December 1999 were £4,326,000.
On the same date, Kingfisher agreed to transfer to Presto einhunderteste
Vermoegensverwaltung GmbH (a company controlled by Michael and Matthias
Wegert) its 55% interest in Tangens GmbH, the German mobile phone service
provider. The net assets of Tangens at 31 December 1999 were Euro 7.4
million.
