Kingfisher PLC 21 December 2001 KINGFISHER TO APPOINT JOHN NELSON AS DEPUTY CHAIRMAN Kingfisher plc announces today (21st December 2001) that Mr John Nelson will become a non-executive director and Deputy Chairman of Kingfisher with effect from 11th January 2002. He recently announced his retirement as Chairman of Credit Suisse First Boston Europe. Mr Nelson, (54), has had a long and distinguished career in investment banking and has held senior positions at Kleinwort Benson and Lazards prior to joining CSFB.
