KINGFISHER TO APPOINT JOHN NELSON AS DEPUTY CHAIRMAN
Kingfisher plc announces today (21st December 2001) that Mr John Nelson will
become a non-executive director and Deputy Chairman of Kingfisher with effect
from 11th January 2002. He recently announced his retirement as Chairman of
Credit Suisse First Boston Europe.
Mr Nelson, (54), has had a long and distinguished career in investment banking
and has held senior positions at Kleinwort Benson and Lazards prior to joining
CSFB.
Commenting on Mr Nelson's forthcoming appointment, Kingfisher's Chairman,
Francis Mackay said:
'We are delighted to welcome John to the Board of Kingfisher and I am sure he
will make a significant contribution to the development of the Group'.
