         Kingfisher Qualifying Employee Share Ownership Trust ('QUEST')

Kingfisher plc became aware on 7 July 2006 that certain Directors of Kingfisher
plc, whose names are set out below, technically became interested on that date
in 58,422 Kingfisher plc ordinary shares of 15 5/7p each by virtue of the QUEST
being allotted the shares and the Directors being potential beneficiaries under
the QUEST.

Kingfisher plc also became aware on 3 July 2006 that each of the below-named
Directors of Kingfisher plc technically ceased to be interested on that date in
58,422 Kingfisher plc ordinary shares of 15 5/7p each by virtue of the QUEST
transferring the shares to employees.

Note:      For Companies Act purposes, certain Directors of Kingfisher plc,
           whose names are set out below, together with all employees of the
           Company, are deemed to have a technical interest in the shares held
           in Kingfisher's QUEST. The interest ceases when shares are
           transferred to individuals who exercise their employee ShareSave
           scheme options.
