On 19 December 2012, Kingfisher plc announced that Euan Sutherland, Chief Operating Officer, would resign from the Board and leave the business in March 2013 to become Group CEO of The Co-operative Group.  Further to this announcement, Kingfisher plc confirms that Mr Sutherland will step down from the Board on 31January 2013, and will remain as an employee of the Company until the end of March 2013 to allow for an extensive handover of his responsibilities.

Euan Sutherland joined Kingfisher in 2008 as CEO, Kingfisher UK & Ireland. He was appointed Group Chief Operating Officer in February 2012 and joined the Kingfisher main board in October 2012.
