                       KINGFISHER QUEST TRUSTEE LIMITED

Kingfisher plc became aware on 25th November 1999 that the Directors of
Kingfisher plc, whose names are set out in full below, technically became
interested on that date in 7,622 Kingfisher plc ordinary shares of 12.5p 
each by virtue of the QUEST being allotted the shares and the Directors being
potential beneficiaries under the QUEST.  

Kingfisher plc also became aware on 25th November 1999 that each of the
Directors of Kingfisher plc technically ceased to be interested on that date in
7,622 Kingfisher plc ordinary shares of 12.5p each by virtue of the QUEST
transferring the shares to employees.

Note:      For Companies Act purposes, the Directors of Kingfisher plc, whose 
           names are set out in full below together with all employees of the 
           Company, are deemed to have a technical interest in the shares held 
           in Kingfisher's QUEST. The interest ceases when shares are   
           transferred to individuals who exercise their employee ShareSave 
           scheme options.
