Kingfisher plc sells Electric City
Kingfisher plc today announced that it is selling the retail assets of its
Singapore-based electrical chain Electric City to Pertama Merchandising Pte
Ltd, a subsidiary of leading Australian electrical retailer Harvey Norman, for
$15.3 million (Singapore) (approx. £5.9 million), subject to final valuation,
landlords' consents and Board approval. Completion of the transfer of assets
will take place on 15 January 2001.
The effect on the Group of the disposal of this business will not be
significant.

operates eight electrical retail outlets in Singapore
