                          Update on sale of Reno-Depot

Further to its press release issued on 23rd April, Kingfisher plc announces that
Canadian competition authority approval has now been given for the sale of its
Canadian Home Improvement business, Reno-Depot Inc, to RONA Inc. The sale is now
expected to complete later this month.

The final consideration is likely to be C$365 million, the additional C$10
million arising from working capital adjustments and interest receivable on the
purchase price. The disposal of the portfolio of land for retail development,
which was excluded from the sale to RONA, is continuing and should be completed
by the year end.
