Holding in Company

Kingfisher plc (the 'Company') has today been informed that Barclays PLC,
through its subsidiary Barclays Bank PLC, no longer has a notifiable interest
in the capital of the Company.  No further details have been given regarding
the reduction or disposal of this interest.

The Company previously announced, on 4 May 2001, that Barclays PLC had notified
an interest in 3.02% of the capital of the Company.
