Notification of Major Interests in Shares


Kingfisher plc (the 'Company') was on 27th March 2003 notified pursuant to
section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 that Morgan Stanley Securities Limited
acquired an interest in 80,483,252 shares of the Company on 25th March 2003,
being 3.08% of the issued share capital of the Company.


In the same notification of 27th March 2003, Kingfisher plc was notified that on
26th March 2003 Morgan Stanley Securities Limited  and the group companies which
are direct or indirect holding companies of Morgan Stanley Securities Limited,
no longer held a notifiable interest in the shares in accordance with section
198 of the Companies Act 1985.
